Background: Colonic polyps are the abnormal growths from colonic mucosa, usually benign but there is a definite though small risk for cancerous transformation. Scarce data about this condition available Northern India. In study we aimed to determine prevalence of in patients undergoing colonoscopy various health indications. addition, studied characteristics these including histological classification Methods: observational cross-sectional included adult (≥18 years) who underwent July 2016 June 2018 at tertiary care hospital setting New Delhi, The socio-demographic variables were ascertained all patients. Hyperplastic noted 22% followed by inflammatory 14% polyps. Adenocarcinoma reported 2 (0.8%). Conclusions: Prevalence colorectal our lower compared western countries. On histology majority adenomatous.
